How do phone call alerts work?
Add a phone number as an alert medium (menu Media, type Phone call) and link it to your applications or to an escalation policy. When an application goes down, internetvista calls the number and a voice message gives the application and the error, in the language of the medium.
Press 1 during the call to acknowledge the incident. Reminders and escalation then stop for everyone, and the incident shows who acknowledged it.
You are called again when the application is back up. Warnings never trigger a call.
Use the test button of the medium to check that the call reaches you. A test call uses SMS credits like a real one.
