What are escalation policies and on-call schedules?
An on-call schedule (rotation) defines who is on duty: your responders take turns in daily or weekly shifts, handing over on the day and at the time you choose.
An escalation policy defines who is alerted when an application goes down: level 1 first (for example the person on duty), then, if nobody acknowledges within the delay you set, the next level in addition.
Alerts are repeated at growing intervals until someone acknowledges the incident or the application is back up.
From the On-call menu, apply a policy to many applications at once, make it the default for new applications, or give an application its own. Applications without a policy keep alerting their linked media as before.
